Starting on January 27-December 31, 2024 – A new exhibit in the Museum of Culpeper History will be featured.  This exhibit, titled “Culpeper’s Revolution of Ideas: The Culpeper Resolves, 1774,”  examines the course of the independence movement in Culpeper County prior to the Revolutionary War.

Immerse yourself in the lives of some of Culpeper’s most influential African Americans and celebrate their remarkable legacies during #BlackHistoryMonth. Take a self-guided tour along Davis Street to learn about the people and places that help shaped the community we know today. On February 1, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., a presentation, titled, “Greenlee Tavern: Early America Beyond the Blue Ridge,” will be held at Mountain Run Winery by descendant John Foster will discuss the stories and legends surrounding the early family, fortune and misfortune on the frontier, routes of immigration, architectural landmarks, the American Revolution, early religion, colonization and more.

On February 4, 2024, from 10:00 am – 1:30 pm Wollam Gardens will host a Flower Pressing Workhop.

Enjoy complimentary Galentines Sweet Treats with Mary Seek on February 9 and 10, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Seek Lavender Farm.

Come out to a Country Western Party at Beer Hound Brewery on February 10, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.  Line Dance Lessons at 6:00PM & Live Music with Andrew Washington starting at 6:30PM.

Verdun Adventure Bound is hosting their 5th Annual Dead of Winter 5K on February 10, 2024, beginning at 11:00 am.  Verdun has a beautiful cross country course with just enough hills to make it interesting. There is a lot of variety in surface and terrain… in and out of the woods, alongside two ponds, over a couple streams (don’t worry… foot bridges).

Oak Shade Farm in Rixeyville will hold its first Open Farm Day of the year on February 10, 2024. Come out and enjoy the farm, sit by the fire pit, and enjoy our view of the Blue Ridge mountains or walk our trails in the woods. Each farm day has a different focus on what is happening on the farm throughout the year.
