Highpoint Farm
Located in Rixeyville, Highpoint Farm is a fun and family-oriented equine facility, offering English riding lessons for you and riders of all ages.
It features a large indoor and outdoor arenas as well as acres of pastures overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. Camps are open for children and adults. Join the Working Student program tailored to meet your needs or show in local shows all the way to the A Circuit. Highpoint’s specialty is “deprogramming” Thoroughbred ex-racehorses.
Trainer Monique Bernardo began riding over 30 years ago acquired her first Thoroughbred off the race track in 1981. Upon convalescence and “deprogramming” she later went on to successfully complete in Grand Prix Level show jumping competitions. After four years at Virginia Tech, she returned opened Highpoint Farm and began training horses and teaching people to ride in 1988.
