The mission of the Virginia BBQ Trail is to connect barbecue lovers with the ever growing opportunities to learn about, experience, and of course enjoy Virginia barbecue.
We will help Virginians and tourists alike find and visit Virginia’s hundreds of great barbecue restaurants, many in places they never knew existed or perhaps in a place they are passing through or visiting soon.
We will promote, educate and stimulate the Virginia barbecue culture by respecting our rich history while exploring evolving trends.
We will be inclusive as we showcase barbecue history and culture across the Virginia barbecue industry. The unique stories behind restaurants, the growing food truck and catering scenes, the many delicious Made In Virginia barbecue sauces and the producers who raise and provide the meat are all part of what makes Virginia barbecue what it is.
We will share information about the growing number of barbecue festivals and the many barbecue-related events across Virginia.
We will serve as a resource to media and the general public seeking to learn about and connect with our Virginia barbecue industry.
