Elementary Explorers

May 30 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

A series of cartoon illustrations showing children and adults engaging in various activities: reading a book, flying a kite, playing baseball, fishing, helping a person in a wheelchair, and picking apples from a tree.

Father, Dad, Dada, Papa, Grandfather, Granddaddy, Godfather, Stepfather!
Father’s Day is just around the corner. Join us as we explore the roles of fathers, including how some of our founding fathers impacted Culpeper. Explorers will search the museum for clues to help them complete puzzles related to different activities you can do with dad as well as release their inner artist when making a picture to give to a dad in their life.
“Elementary Explorers” is an interactive series of children’s programming that brings fun facts and activities out of the past!
The series, targeted at ages 5-9, will be held monthly. Each month will feature a different activity and craft inspired by local history.
A Parent/ guardian must accompany their children.
THIS EVENT IS STRICTLY LIMITED TO 15 CHILDREN. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!
Participants may be photographed for use in museum promotional and marketing material.
