Rappahannock River Access at The Inn at Kelley’s Ford – Spend the day with friends and family floating or rowing down the Rappahannock River at the Inn at Kelly’s Ford. The Canoeing/Kayaking season begins April 15th and runs through October 31st. You can rent or bring your own poles to try your hand fishing on the river or in their fully stocked pond on the property too.
Culpeper National Cemetery – One of the 155 designated National Cemeteries, Culpeper National Cemetery is the final resting place for the heroes of the United States who fell in battle or died of disease during the Civil War in the surrounding Culpeper area. Visitors can stop by daily between dusk and dawn or choose to plan a visit during the annual Wreaths Across America event on December 17th, 2022 at 12pm.
Library of Congress Packard Campus for Audio-Visual Conservation – The Library of Congress holds the world’s largest and most comprehensive collection of audio-visual works, over 6.2 million moving images, sound recordings and related documents. Located at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Culpeper, Virginia, the Library’s Packard Campus of the National Audio-Visual Conservation Center provides underground storage for this entire collection on 90 miles of shelving, together with extensive modern facilities for the acquisition, cataloging and preservation of all audio-visual formats. They offer programming and screening events throughout the year.
