The Culpeper Minutemen Chapter SAR presents “Patriots of Color in the Revolutionary War” by Charles Jameson on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 3:00 pm in the State Theatre, 305 S. Main Street, Culpeper, VA.  The Culpeper Minutemen Chapter will recognize African American and Native American History in the Revolutionary War as we approach the 250th Anniversary of this Nation. We will also talk about the 20 known Patriots of Color, both free and enslaved, from the Culpeper area, who also served to create this nation. The Culpeper Minutemen Chapter SAR wishes to thank the Museum of Culpeper History for its research and the Windmore Foundation for its support. Howard Lambert, President of the Freedom Foundation and President of the Brandy Station Foundation will continue this history into the Civil War. Make sure to mark your calendars for this event held at the State Theatre, 305 S. Main St. Culpeper, Va. on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025, at 3 pm. The VASSAR ColorGuard will be in action with wreath presentations to the honored patriots.
