Direct Visitor Spending Reached $77.9M in Culpeper, Virginia in 2024

CULPEPER, VA – Visitor spending in Culpeper saw steady year-over-year growth, with direct visitor spending reaching $77.9 million in 2024, up 1.6 percent from 2023. Total tourism economic impact reached $121.6 million in 2024. Tourism-supported jobs totaled 764 while direct tourism-related taxes produced $5.8M in local and state revenue.
According to the Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC), tourism in Virginia generated $35.1 billion in visitor spending in 2024, marking a 5.4 percent increase in spending over 2023. The tourism industry also supported 229,000 jobs for Virginia communities and provided $2.5 billion in state and local revenue. All data is from Tourism Economics and is based on domestic visitor spending from trips taken 50 miles or more away from home.
