This art show is entitled Windows to Our Heritage: Art That Honors Our Journey and will be held on Saturday\, October 25\, 2025\, from 10am to 4pm at the State Theater\, 305 S Main Street Culpeper\, VA. \nThe Alliance envisions a community that educates\, enlightens\, and serves as a primary resource for showcasing Culpeper’s African American experiences within our regional story. Windmore Center for the Arts’ vision is to be the heart of artistic expression and education in our community\, offering a welcoming\, sustainable space where people connect\, create\, and experience the transformative power of the arts. There will be an Artist Talk from 1-2pm. This event is free and open to the public. DESCRIPTION:The Culpeper Minutemen Chapter SAR presents “Patriots of Color in the Revolutionary War” by Charles Jameson on Sunday\, February 2\, 2025\, at 3:00 pm in the State Theatre\, 305 S. Main Street\, Culpeper\, VA.  The Culpeper Minutemen Chapter will recognize African American and Native American History in the Revolutionary War as we approach the 250th Anniversary of this Nation. We will also talk about the 20 known Patriots of Color\, both free and enslaved\, from the Culpeper area\, who also served to create this nation. The Culpeper Minutemen Chapter SAR wishes to thank the Museum of Culpeper History for its research and the Windmore Foundation for its support. Howard Lambert\, President of the Freedom Foundation and President of the Brandy Station Foundation will continue this history into the Civil War. Make sure to mark your calendars for this event held at the State Theatre\, 305 S. Main St. Culpeper\, Va. on Sunday\, Feb. 2\, 2025\, at 3 pm. The VASSAR ColorGuard will be in action with wreath presentations to the honored patriots.
