DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the start of Spring on Saturday\, March 1st with a LARP Tavern Takeover at Greenlee Tavern. We’ll have LARP bards Brady Lloyd (Radby/Maple) and Dan Joyner (Spire) playing music all night and we’ll have lyric sheets available if you want to join some of the more popular tavern sing-along songs.\nThere will be a free tavern-style dinner at 7:00 pm (potluck contributions are welcome) and the bar will stay open until midnight. There will be lots of mead\, wine and beer available for purchase. We’ll have a bonfire after dinner\, bardic circle and a loud and rowdy LARP tavern after that. All attendees must be in garb and 21+\nIf the weather is good that afternoon we’ll do what LARPers do: pitfights\, combat challenges and maybe a scavenger hunt!\nRSVP to Mountain Run Winery. Camping is available if the weather is decent.

SUMMARY:Christmas Carols at Mountain Run Winery
DESCRIPTION:Come create a holiday memory at Mountain Run’s 4th annual Community caroling celebration! \nFrom 2:00 to 5:00 pm we’ll have ornament painting in our 120-year-old stable complete with 15-foot Christmas tree. Holiday music from acoustic guitarist Mike Henry will start at 3:00 pm. At 4:15 pm we’ll gather under the tree for the “kids carols” event including Jingle Bells Frosty the Snowman Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer and more. After a short break at 5:00 pm we’ll begin our traditional carols including Hark the Heralds Joy to the World God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman and more! \nTo get everyone warmed up The Jittery Mouse will have Holiday Drinks available for purchase! Hot Cocoa Hot Apple Cider & Peppermint Mocha & Sugar Cookie Coffees! And for the adults in the crowd the winery will have mulled wine available as well as our usual selection of award-winning wine cider beer and hot-mulled wine. \nWe’ll have a handful of local vendors for your last minute gifts and local author Teresa Maley reading from kids book “A wish I may A wish I might”. \nWant to help further the holiday spirit? Bring a batch of your favorite holiday cookies (and a tin to take other cookies home with you) if you want to participate in the optional cookie exchange. \nWe’ve also received word from the North Pole that a very special very jolly very ho-ho-ho-happy someone will be stopping by the festivities to see the kids and will be sitting for pictures starting at 2:30 pm. \nPlease note that the caroling will be held in our 120-year-old barn – which is uninsulated. We will have a handful of space heaters running but jackets are encouraged if the weather is cool.

These lessons will prepare dancers for the 200th Anniversary of the Lafayette Ball in Culpeper August 23\, 2025. (1 year away!) \nDance Mistress Elaine Sturgeon of the Rappahannock Colonial Heritage Society will be leading this class along with other experienced dancers. \nMountain Run Winery will have their bar open for guests to enjoy their small-batch\, distinctive\, high-quality wines\, ciders\, and meads.
