The Graffiti House Hauntings

Graffiti House at Brandy Station

Built in 1858, this two-story frame structure served as a field hospital for both Union and Confederate soldiers during the Civil War. Soldiers left behind inscriptions, drawings, and signatures. It is said to be one of the largest collections of graffiti that remains today. With its rich history and hundreds of wounded soldiers that passed through its doors there is no wonder over the year there have been tales of paranormal phenomena that cannot be explained. Accounts include disembodied voices, sudden temperature drops, and the sensation of unseen presences. Several paranormal investigators have made the trek to visit this historic site to seek more proof of the haunted beings that linger.

For those interested in experiencing the Graffiti House firsthand, the Brandy Station Foundation offers paranormal tours. These events often include history tours of the graffiti, equipment demonstrations by local paranormal groups, and discussions of investigation findings. The tours are family-friendly and provide a unique opportunity to delve into both the historical and supernatural aspects of the site.
