The Black Community's Dedication to Education
The Museum of Culpeper History, in collaboration with members of the African American Heritage Alliance, Angela Chapman, Charles Jamison, Jane Pollard, and Moderator Zann Nelson, address the commitment and activism required and delivered by the Black communities throughout the County to provide an education for Black children. Three locations are discussed in the following video as examples: the Culpeper Training School on the old Fredericksburg Rd., the Norman School off US Route 522 West at Norman, and the George Washington Carver High School on US Route 15.
