The quest for religious freedom in America and guaranteeing the right to worship the in the way of one’s choosing was a revolutionary idea – an idea in which Virginia played an important role. In this video, Pastor Dan Carlton and Church Historian Roger L. Clatterbuck explore the Baptist community’s role in Culpeper’s history. They discuss how Baptists contributed from the era of religious freedom, through the Civil War, and up until 1955. Culpeper Baptist Church celebrated its 250th Anniversary in 2025.
