Bigfoot in Culpeper, Virginia
In 1995 William Dranginis, a Manassas, Virginia local planned an adventure in the woods of Culpeper County to do some metal detecting with several friends, that happened to be FBI Agents at the time. The day began like any other but would surely prove to be one he would never forget. Walking down an old logging road in the forest on his friend’s property they spotted a creator that he claims was 7 feet tall trying to hide behind a tree then it ran through the woods away from them. He is convinced this was the notorious Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch. This legendary creature is said to inhabit forests, particularly in the Pacific Northwest of North America. Described as a large, ape-like being covered in hair, Bigfoot is a major figure in cryptozoology, with numerous reported sightings, footprints, and even blurry photos or videos claimed as evidence.
After that fateful day William Dranginis made it his mission to dedicate his free time and efforts to capture video and/or audio evidence of the creature they had seen. On December 3, 2018, William “Bill” Dranginis, who had been fighting pancreatic cancer, passed away.
