Oak Shade Farm
Oak Shade Farm is a diversified, family oriented, entity. We are mostly a Christmas Tree farm, but we also have a woodworking shop and sawmill, we raise bees and shiitake mushrooms and do weaving and rug hooking. We are open from the day after Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve from 9am to 5pm, except for Mondays and Tuesdays…we are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Our Treehouse store showcases the things that we make, such as jams, honey, woven goods, wooden items, and hooked rugs, all made by family members. We have a commanding view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, as viewed from the fire pit overlooking our Christmas tree fields.
In addition to being open during the Christmas season, we have a variety of Open Farm Days, when we welcome visitors. These days have themes, such as weaving or woodworking, but are open to anyone.
