Labor Day Weekend Events (9/2 – 9/5):
9/2 Culpeper 1st Friday at the Depot – Spend the evening with friends and family in Culpeper’s historic district where you will find FREE live music, face painting, painting demonstration & kids craft activity by U-Can-2-Art as well as shopping, dining & drink specials too!
9/3 – 9/4 & 9/10 – 9/11 Sunflower Festival at Auburn Farm – Spend the day at Auburn Farm picking your own sunflowers, finding your way through the 4 acres corn maze, enjoying outdoor activities & food and craft vendors.
9/3 Culpeper’s 1st Professional Rodeo at Culpeper Agricultural Enterprise –The True Grit Rodeo Company will be coming out to Culpeper on 9/3 to provide all the rodeo action. Net proceeds from the event will go to Identity Culpeper’s Kelly Street Boxing Club and mentoring program for fatherless boys.
9/3 Lavender Pruning Workshop at Seek Lavender Farm – This is a pruning specific experience with Mary Seek, owner & operator of Seek Lavender. Pruning is essential to the health and longevity of your lavender.
9/4 Woof and Wag at Mountain Run Winery – Once again Mountain Run Winery will have vendor booths, a casual 5k that you can walk, jog or run with your dogs, great local food, wine, pet contests, face paintings, games, live entertainment and more.

All you can eat Steamed Crabs and Low Country Boil, non-alcoholic drinks included, live music, beer and wine available for purchase. ALL of the Proceeds of this fundraiser will benefit SAFE – Services to Abused Families.
9/14 – 9/18 Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month Commemoration at Culpeper LOVEwork – September 15, 2022 will mark the inaugural Global Day of Engagement for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation. The LOVEworks at the Depot will be light in red September 14th-18th for Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month.
9/15 Culpeper Downtown 3rd Thursday Summer Concert – Souled Out – Join Culpeper Renaissance on September 15th in historic downtown Culpeper, in front of the Depot, from 5pm-9pm for the Culpeper Downtown 3rd Thursday Summer Concert Series, featuring SOULED OUT!
9/17 Run for Your Life 5k at Verdun Adventure Bound – Participants will run or walk on our beautiful 5K cross country course. Follow the Sasquatch through the woods to the finish line. Following the race will be music at the amphitheater, food, awards, and a special Message of Hope.
9/17 – 9/18 25th Annual Culpeper Harvest Days Farm Tour – The event provides a wonderful educational experience and includes an array of hands-on activities and demonstrations. The 15 carefully selected farms and ag-related businesses on the tour reflect Culpeper’s agricultural heritage and the millions of dollars in production, wages and salaries generated by the agricultural industry in our county and state.
9/17 U.S. Constitution Day Celebration & Puppet Show at Yowell Meadow Park – A Free Interactive Family Show Celebrating the 235th Anniversary of the Signing of the Constitution of The United States of America.
9/22 Succulent Pumpkin Workshop at Botanical Dwellings – Welcome the season and all things harvest-y at the Succulent Pumpkin Workshop with Leslie Geer of Leslie Geer Design! This hands-on workshop will encourage creativity while sharing techniques on how to make a Succulent Pumpkin that will add a touch of whimsy to your holiday decor.
9/24 Virginia Spirits Expo – The Virginia Distiller’s Association and River City Festivals is excited to announce the FIRST Virginia Spirits Expo will take place Saturday, September 24th at Belmont Farms Distillery in Culpeper, VA. This inaugural event, will feature 18+ Award Winning Virginia Distilleries for attendees to visit with, learn about and sample from.
9/24 Oktoberfest! At Beer Hound Brewery – Prost! It’s that time of year again to celebrate beer! More details to come on this annual celebration.
9/24 Mountain Run Classic – Car, Truck & Bike Show at Gobbler Hill Farm – All vehicles are welcome! There will be 50/50 raffle, door prizes, trophies for class winners, food, drinks, ice cream, music and more!
9/25 Hop N Hog Block Party & BBQ Competition at the Culpeper Depot – This event will feature premier live music, local and regional BBQ, games and activities for all ages, and of course a great selection of wine, cider and brews, all available for purchase.
