Culpeper Cares COVID-19 Resources

We are grateful for the strength we are seeing every day in our community even in the face of uncertainty and change. Thank you to all who continue to support our local businesses by purchasing a gift card, using curbside pick-up and delivery options, and shopping local options online. While this is a difficult time for everyone, supporting our small businesses helps keep Culpeper strong.

We know it’s tough to travel right now, or to even be around others. We hope you will consider postponing your trip to Culpeper to summer or even fall. By taking the right precautions, we can make sure this situation is temporary. When it’s time, and you are ready to visit, we’ll be ready for you. And we look forward to seeing you then! #PostponeNotCancel

Resources for Reopening the Economy

Reopening the economy safely is at the top of mind. We recognize that reopening the economy responsibly will depend on businesses, and their customers, heeding the guidance of public health officials. Yet, this guidance will manifest differently across industries and communities.

Reopening by Industry features research from the International Economic Development Council regarding industries from retail to automotive and beyond, and handbooks and guides from industry organizations. The industries included are:

  • Manufacturing
  • Sports and Entertainment
  • Retail
  • Airlines and Tourism
  • Hospitality and Restaurants
  • Personal Services
  • Real Estate and Construction
  • Automobile

  • Wash hands frequently: Use soap and water for at least 20 seconds each time.
  • Limit gatherings to 10 people or fewer.
  • Get fresh air: Go for walks, enjoy parks and stay active—just keep distance in mind.
  • Stay up to date on relevant information—but keep your mental health in mind too.
