Wollam Gardens
Come spend time in a lovely 1819 farmhouse on an 11-acre commercial cut flower farm. Relax on the porch, walk among the flowers, learn about seeding, planting, weeding, cutting, processing and selling over 80 varieties of cut flowers. Or just stay in the comfort of the farmhouse and use it as your gateway to local historic sites or the Nation’s Capitol.
There are two comfortable rooms for rent. They share a bath and the upstairs front porch. Breakfast is on your own, but the farm can provide delicious baked goods from Karen’s kitchen and farm fresh eggs. You will share the house with up to six interns who live together in two other rooms and work at the flower operation. It can be a shared, communal experience or just a unique place to get away. One of the two rooms has a queen bed and a single bed. The other has a double bed. Both rooms are air-conditioned and have space heaters for colder nights. ASCFG members who come for a learning experience and stay for seven days will receive a discount including taking their meals with the interns.
