SUMMARY:Art @ The Vineyard – Barbara Hawley
DESCRIPTION:Revalation Vineyards is pleased to feature artist Barbara Hawley in both of our tasting rooms for May and June of 2026. Her exhibition\, titled “Piece Work\,” features wood piece assemblages. Creating them involves problem-solving\, arranging\, and finding the mystery in the newly created artwork. Barbara is an artist\, teacher\, and writer who received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts with a minor in Art History from the University of Maryland. She developed the first Artist-in-Residence Program at the University of Virginia’s Cancer Center\, where she focused on the importance of creative self-expression. She also started art programs for Virginia Neuro Care and Play Partners (a division of Children\, Youth\, and Family Services) in Charlottesville\, Virginia. Currently\, Barbara is the artist-in-residence at MAD Arts in Madison\, Virginia\, where she teaches and exhibits her artwork. She is interested in a wide variety of media\, from drawing to watercolor\, acrylic\, collage\, as well as jewelry\, assemblage\, photography\, and more. \nARTIST’S STATEMENT: Art is not only a very important part of my life – it is my life. It is my joy and expression. It engages me and fulfills me. It is my gift to share.

SUMMARY:Art @ The Vineyard - Pamela Morris
DESCRIPTION:Revalation Vineyards is thrilled to exhibit Pam Morris’s work in both our tasting rooms starting July 1 through August 31. Pam spent much of her career as a microbiologist in academia and at the National Science Foundation. In 2019\, she became the Executive Director of the Greene Care Clinic\, a free health care clinic for uninsured adults in Greene County\, Virginia. The arts\, especially photography\, have always been an outlet for her. She lives in Earlysville\, Virginia\, with dogs\, cats\, and a large vegetable garden.

DESCRIPTION:Gather your cleverest friends—or come make some new ones—for an afternoon of collaborative crime-solving at Revalation Vineyards! \nIn this interactive\, group-based game\, you aren’t just reading a mystery; you are creating one. Hosted by local author Andi Cumbo (creator of the St. Marin’s\, Stitches in Crime\, and Poe Baxter series)\, this event will split attendees into “syndicates” of armchair detectives. \nFirst\, your group will work together to plot the perfect fictional crime. Using a framework of motives\, means\, and literary mischief\, you will devise a fiendishly clever murder. Then\, the tables will turn! You will swap your newly plotted mystery with another group and race to see who can unravel the other team’s clues and solve the crime first. \nWhether you bring your own sleuthing squad or join a group when you arrive\, it promises to be an afternoon of teamwork\, laughter\, and brilliant twists. Grab a glass of your favorite Revalation vintage and let the games begin! \nJoin us on Sunday\, August 16\, from 2-4 pm. Tickets are $30 per person (plus tax). Tickets include one glass of wine or our non-alcoholic verjus and the mystery-solving workshop. Don’t delay! Tickets for this event are limited to only 30 people!

She is drawn to simple scenes and familiar places—street corners\, quiet interiors\, fleeting light—using watercolor and mixed media to capture not just how something looks\, but how it feels to be there. Birds play a significant role in her work and are a constant source of inspiration. While watercolor is her primary medium\, she also explores acrylics\, ink\, and colored pencil\, allowing the materials to guide the balance between intention and spontaneity.
