10/1 – 10/31 – Virginia Wine Month – Celebrate the incredible Virginia Wines throughout the area this month
10/1 Art Jam: Zentanlge Pumpkin Workshop at K-Art and Design – Ages 6+: Zentangle is an easy-to-learn and relaxing way to create intricate designs. In this workshop, we’ll learn some basic patterns and use them to decorate small, real pumpkins. This is great fun with friends and family!
10/1 – 10/30 Round Hill Farm Open for the Season – Pick your own pumpkins, Hayrides, zip lines, farm animals, corn maze, bouncy house, and fall fun for the entire family this season at Round Hill Farm.
10/15 Mountain Run Winery Fall Festival – A fun day with craft vendors, several food trucks, and lots of music!
10/21 – Moonlight Halloween Candy Hunt at Culpeper Sports Complex – Ages 2-12 years old: Come join the Parks & Recreation staff & volunteer for a fun night of FREE candy hunting and a costume contest. When the gates open we will have vendors & activities to participate in.
10/26 Halloween Boo Box with Court’s Kitchen – Kids ages 5 & up will assemble a fun Halloween-themed box in this 1-hour class. Wednesday, October 26: 4:30 – 5:30 pm (reserve by 10/21); $40
10/29 Nightmare on Main Street Halloween Party at Sangria Bowl – 18 to party, 21 to drink. Valid ID.
$5 Cover Charge, Cash Prizes for costumes! DJ to be announced. Top 40, House, Reggaeton, Salsa, Merengue and Bachata.
10/29 Culpeper Downtown Farmers Market Trick or Treat – Vendors will have TREATS for our smallest costumed customers to celebrate Halloween! We are grateful for the continued support of our local farmers and producers this year. THANK YOU for supporting local!!
10/30 Trunk or Treat at Art of Dance – Watch out! ART of Dance will have amazing dancers flash mob the Trunk or Treat.
10/31 Culpeper Downtown Trick-or-Treat – Culpeper Renaissance Inc. and Culpeper Downtown Businesses invite all the little ghouls and goblins for a fun and safe trick or treating experience in Historic Downtown Culpeper from 5pm – 6pm on Monday, October 31st!

10/1 2nd Annual Bluegrass Festival at Death Ridge Brewery – Second Annual Broken String Bluegrass Festival! Full day of music starting at 12pm featuring Lonesome River Band, Blue Highway, Shenandoah Drive, Shannon Bielski & Moonlight Drive, and Garden Variety String Band! Local food trucks Graze to Griddle and Talk of the Mountain Seafood on site!
10/1 En Plein Air Artists Even at Wollam Gardens – Leave the studio behind and follow the French experience of open-air painting. Artists of all mediums are invited to Wollam Gardens for an immersive natural experience on our inspirational flower farm. The farm and our historic farmhouse will be open for artists to explore.
10/1 Youth Rodeo & Fun Day at Andora Farm – Come Join us at our first annual Youth Rodeo & Fun Day!! This event is open to the public. We’ll Have 4 Age divisions from 3 – 18 years old! Classes are $10 each or $60 for the day! Admission is free for spectators!!
10/1 – 15th Annual Culpeper Century & Tour – The CCC is a small intimate ride that boasts great scenic beauty and paved road riding in Culpeper County during the most colorful season – Fall! The routes take cyclists through Culpeper, Madison, and Fauquier Counties, providing beautiful views of scenic back roads and rolling farms. You may even catch sight of a few buffalo on your travels.
10/7 Culpeper 1st Friday at the Train Depot – Culpeper’s First Friday event will have these great FREE outdoor activities going on downtown – Live Music, Face Painting by Sandy, Woodworking demonstration, and children’s activity by Oak Shade Farm Store.
10/8 Culpeper Air Fest – Turning 22 in ’22, the Culpeper Air has a great show lined up! Honoring our country’s service men and women and the historic aircraft they flew, educating future pilots and aviation enthusiasts, and entertaining the community, all of our CAF aircraft will be out on display.
10/8 Eight is Great! Anniversary Party at Beer Hound Brewery – Come out and celebrate the 8th anniversary of Beer Hound Brewery. Live music, great company, and of course great craft beer too!
10/10 – 10/16 – Culpeper Restaurant Week – Started by local restaurateurs in 2009, the event encourages diners to break out of typical work-week patterns and share a meal with family and friends at eleven different independently owned Culpeper Downtown restaurants.
10/16 CASINOVA Pod Cook-Off at Old House Vineyards – 21st Annual CASINOVA Pod Cook-off at Old House Vineyards. Come and enjoy the fall in Virginia wine country and help us celebrate our 21st annual cook-off.
