INes

Born in Puerto Rico, Inés Pasquera moved to Culpeper in 1974. Her senior year, she was voted most likely to succeed in art by her fellow classmates at Culpeper County High School. After a career in floriculture and floral design, she decided to venture into the field of jewelry making. While managing a local shop she met Edmund Kavanaugh, a master chaser, who was a frequent visitor. Influenced by Kavanaugh, Ines learned, among others, the techniques of chasing and repoussé.
These days she creates jewelry incorporating her love of nature, oriental art, and art nouveau. She lives in Boston, Virginia with her fiancé and dog enjoying a view of Old Rag Mountain.
