Rooted in her Manhattan upbringing\, where skyscrapers\, museums\, and parks provided early inspiration\, art became her sanctuary amidst the bustling cityscape. After a successful career as a cardiologist in Culpeper\, Mendlow returned to her first love—painting—and began an exploration of how color and light evoke emotion. You can see her work at the Vineyard from now until the end of April.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday\, April 4th\, for Book World Meets Wine World. Author Elizabeth Massie will present her book Night Benedictions. The idea for Night Benedictions was born from Massie’s personal practice of writing and sharing nighttime reflections on social media. During the event\, Massie will share insights into her writing process\, her deep-rooted love for Virginia\, and her upcoming book Snow Cats and Boardwalk Dogs—a collection of rhyming narrative poems coming later this year. \nYou can buy the book here. This is a benefit for the Literacy Council of Madison County. Ten percent of our proceeds for this event will be donated to the organization. \nThe presentation will start at 6:00. The Vineyard opens at noon on Fridays\, so pop in early for a glass of wine and a snack to enjoy during the talk.
