HEAR YE!\nThe Great Council of the land of Osterra & the Vidarian Khanate calls all those of adventurous spirit to attend the Rites of Spring!​\nJoin us as we continue the ongoing narrative campaign of the realm\, the world of Osterra\, a world of adventure\, with fantastic professions\, a world of scholars and research\, a world of war\, and turmoil.\nNormally with coming of April\, the snows would be melted\, and life would return to bloom\, but not this year. This year you\, and the rest of the adventurers of Osterra will have to fight to claim Spring! Embark on another perilous journey—this time to the kingdom of Eponore\, where the unified forces of Osterra gather to wage war on The Court of The Winter Queen. But she\, of course\, has her own plans to dominate the realm and expand her frozen empire.\nWe will seek the most clever and brave champions of the realm.\nAt the Rites of Spring each year are held great tournaments to determine who is most skilled with sword\, spear\, and bow. This year we will continue in those traditions\, testing not only martial prowess\, and strength of arms\, but speed of whit. Wizards and Healers test their prowess\, striving for individual glory\, and working together to prepare the Lazerat\, as a bastion against the Winter Queen’s powers.\nGrab your weapons of choice\, your spellbook\, and join us for a weekend of Live Action Role Playing\, LARP battles\, puzzles\, games of skill & chance\, quests\, feasting\, and revelry at Mountain Run Winery in Culpeper\, Virginia. It is a celebration of Spring!\nLARP Adventures is proud to present The Rites of Spring. It’s a perfect event for those who have never LARPed before\, and yet challenging with a depth of story\, and competitive combat\, so that even veteran fighters\, and role players will find their skills pushed to the limit. This is both an individual and team-based event. It combines elements of scavenger hunts\, adventure racing\, puzzle solving\, resource allocation\, and live action combat with safe foam weapons to provide a fun weekend of adventure. SUMMARY:Park Day at Historic Salubria
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the American Battlefield Trust’s nationwide annual cleanup day!\nA variety of indoor and outdoor activities will be available\, including:\n-Cleaning up the Salubria Community Cemetery (cleaning headstones\, clearing brush\, picking up deadfall\, cutting back saplings)\n-Repairing the split-rail fence (digging holes\, inserting fence posts)\n-Tidying up outside the house (picking up deadfall\, raking leaves)\n-Tidying up inside the house (sweeping\, dusting)\n-And more!\nVolunteers will be treated to a special behind-the-scenes tour with staff.\nWe have some tools available\, but if you have your own\, bring it! We will be using clippers\, post diggers\, saws\, axes\, hatchets\, loppers\, brooms\, rakes\, dusters\, and shovels. Volunteers should also bring gloves and any other protective gear. Wear sturdy shoes\, long-sleeves and pants.\nVolunteers should meet at the parking area beside Historic Salubria between 8:45am and 9:00am. They will also be offering steamed shrimp and non-seafood items!. Throw in the music of South Canal Street and add the beautiful mountain and vineyard views\, and you have a day made in heaven! So grab a bottle of wine\, some fine oysters\, find a seat\, and enjoy a great afternoon at DuCard. Admission tickets are $12 in advance and $20 at the gate.
