We will be serving a buffet-style breakfast with dishes including biscuits with sausage gravy\, home fries\, bacon\, sausage\, pastries\, fruit\, and much more. We also will be featuring a made-to-order eggs\, omelets\, and waffle station.\nTICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW! Last year’s event sold out well in advance so be sure to snag them while they are available.\nThe cost is only $30.99 per person and each ticket includes a glass of wine/champagne/mimosa/cider/beer of your choice. Additional glasses may be purchased from the staff at the event. Meal tickets for kids 10 & under are only $14.99. We also have non-drinking adult tickets available for those between 11-20 or those that do not wish to drink. DESCRIPTION:To honor National Historic Preservation Month\, Historic Germanna invites you to step back in time to explore the architectural legacy of Salubria. \nThanks to funding from the Semiquincentennial grant from the Historic Preservation Fund administered by the National Park Service\, Department of the Interior\, we are amid the process of preparing a comprehensive Historic Structures Report for Salubria. As we undertake this process\, we’re offering a rare opportunity to experience Salubria like never before. \nJoin us for exclusive\, small-group tours that focus on the architecture\, history\, and ongoing preservation efforts of this remarkable site. Get up close and personal with the remarkable craftmanship of the house\, made by hand by 18th century free and enslaved craftspeople\, and augmented by later preservation projects. Visitors will even have the chance to experience the rarely-seen second floor and cellar.\nEach tour will be led by renowned experts in the field. \nDoug Harnsberger\, Preservation Architect\, will lead a tour on May 2. Kathy Ellis\, Salubria Historian\, will lead a tour on May 9. Gordon Lohr\, Historic Architecture Scholar\, will lead the tour on May 23. Finally\, Shannon Doherty\, Historic Germanna Education Manager\, will lead the tour on May 30.\nTogether\, they’ll share insights into Salubria’s construction\, craftsmanship\, and the stories its walls have held for centuries. \nTours will be offered on four Fridays in May: May 2\, May 9\, May 23\, and May 30. DESCRIPTION:The Culpeper Garden Club is hosting a National Garden Club Standard Flower Show at the Culpeper County Fieldhouse\, 16388 Competition Drive\, Culpeper\, from 1-3 PM on Wednesday\, May 7\, 2025. The Culpeper Chamber of Commerce will officially open the show with a ribbon cutting to celebrate the club’s 90th anniversary. The show is free and open to the public. \nThe theme of this year’s flower show\, ‘Designs of the Decades’ is in celebration of the 9 decades the Culpeper club has been in existence. There will be numerous entries of spring bulbs\, perennials and flowering shrubs – daffodils\, tulips\, iris and azaleas to name just a few. Attendees will enjoy seeing fabulous floral arrangements showcasing the talents of the club members. The designs will incorporate flowers and plant material found in the everyday garden to the exotic. \nIn addition\, special short presentations will be presented by horticulture specialists. Stephanie DeNicola of Culpeper Soil & Water will discuss the best home gardening practices\, such as soil testing\, water usage reduction and turning turf into wildflower plantings. Robert Myers\, James Madison’s Montpelier Horticulturist\, will discuss the history of the Annie DuPont Formal Garden and current interpretation and its maintenance. Ashley Appling\, Horticulture and Arborist Extension Agent\, will share information on how to successfully grow camellias in Central Piedmont. \nGardening enthusiasts will also enjoy perusing the new nursery stock offered for purchase by Windmill Heights Nursery and Willow Shade Nursery\, both located in Culpeper. \nThe Culpeper Garden Club Flower Show is a wonderful opportunity to mix and mingle with club members\, to learn more about the joy of gardening\, floral design and the club’s many contributions to the community.

Each year the Museum partners with the local Luck Stone Quarry to provide a public access day to view Culpeper’s famous dinosaur footprints! More than 215 million years ago\, giant beasts roamed the region we call home today. Then\, in 1989\, evidence of their existence was discovered at the bottom of the quarry. \nThis year’s annual DinoWalk will be held Friday AND Saturday\, May 2-3\, 2025! \nVehicle passes are $50.00 and are available for hourly timed tours. Each pass provides entry to one vehicle and its occupants. Due to limited space in the parking area\, vehicles must be passenger van size or smaller. Each pass will also provide family admission to the Museum of Culpeper History in downtown Culpeper for FREE. \n·    Passes will be available ONLINE ONLY through Eventbrite. \n·    Sorry\, we are unable to take advance registrations! \n·    PLEASE NOTE\, due to limited parking on-site\, passes are limited and sell out very quickly! \n·    Member Only passes for Friday\, May 2 available for online purchase on April 5. \n·    General public passes for Saturday\, May 3 available for online purchase on April 12. \nOrder a t-shirt in the size you want in advance! Follow the gravel driveway through the gate\, and park near the modern cottage. We will convene near there. \nWe have some tools available\, but if you have your own\, bring it! We will be using clippers\, loppers\, brooms\, rakes\, dusters\, and shovels. Volunteers should also bring gloves and any other protective gear. Wear sturdy shoes\, long-sleeves and pants. \nIn case of inclement weather\, Park Day will be moved to Saturday May 3.
