DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the start of Spring on Saturday\, March 1st with a LARP Tavern Takeover at Greenlee Tavern. We’ll have LARP bards Brady Lloyd (Radby/Maple) and Dan Joyner (Spire) playing music all night and we’ll have lyric sheets available if you want to join some of the more popular tavern sing-along songs.\nThere will be a free tavern-style dinner at 7:00 pm (potluck contributions are welcome) and the bar will stay open until midnight. There will be lots of mead\, wine and beer available for purchase. We’ll have a bonfire after dinner\, bardic circle and a loud and rowdy LARP tavern after that. All attendees must be in garb and 21+\nIf the weather is good that afternoon we’ll do what LARPers do: pitfights\, combat challenges and maybe a scavenger hunt!\nRSVP to Mountain Run Winery. Camping is available if the weather is decent.

Oak Shade Christmas Tree Farm will be open November 29\, 2024 through December 22nd\, 2024\, Wednesdays – Sundays\, 9am -5pm. For more information on their Christmas trees\, wreath\, garland\, and winterberry bundles visit their website. \nOur Christmas tree fields can be uneven – please dress for a walk in the country. We are less busy and we have more time for visiting during week. We will have portable restrooms available. \nFor your convenience we provide saws for cutting your own Christmas tree and we are happy to bundle the tree in netting for you and secure it safely onto your vehicle for transportation.

July is when we shear the trees to shape them for sale in December.\nSo please come to our Open Farm day on Saturday\, July 13\, from 1 to 5 pm and we will show you what goes into preparing for Christmas\, even in July. \nWe will demonstrate how to shear the trees\, how we make garland\, and how we make the ornaments and woodenware that we sell during Christmas. Our shiitake mushroom production\, and our weaving loom\, might also interest you\, and the firepit might be of interest if it is not too hot. Our Tree House shop will be open\, and cool\, as well. \nSo please come by for a visit. The farm looks very different in July than what you might have experienced during your Christmas visits.
