DESCRIPTION:The Carver 4-County Museum will be featuring a new exhibit honoring prolific writer\, John Mercer Langston Hughes\, born February 1\, 1901\, in Joplin\, Missouri. He passed away in New York on May 22\, 1967.\n\nIn 1936\, he wrote the poem\, “Let America Be America Again\,” which is the foundation for our new exhibit\, “Liberty\, Labor and Langston.”\n——-\n\nThe Liberty\, Labor and Langston\, exhibit opens online at www.carver4m.org on February 1\, 2025\, in celebration of Black History Month.  It is curated by Terry Miller.  It will open inside the museum from February 25 through the end of December. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a delicious evening! We’ll be pairing four of our Belmont Brewery beers with locally baked cookies. Flights of 4 select beers with 4 perfectly paired cookie samples will be available. The regular bar will be open as well\, and we’ll have individual cookies for sale. Feel free to grab a full size beer and a cookie if a pairing isn’t your thing. It’s the perfect opportunity to taste our new brews\, sample delightful desserts\, and enjoy the evening with a friend or special someone. (Cookies available while supplies last)\nFood will also be available for purchase from Catch the Chef Food Truck from 5pm to 8pm.\nand…\nFREE FAMILY LINE DANCING! Forget the babysitter and bring the kids with you. From 6:00-8:00PM Karen with BOOM Fitness will be offering free line dancing for families! Children ages 6 and up are welcome to join.
