DESCRIPTION:The Carver 4-County Museum will be featuring a new exhibit honoring prolific writer\, John Mercer Langston Hughes\, born February 1\, 1901\, in Joplin\, Missouri. He passed away in New York on May 22\, 1967.\n\nIn 1936\, he wrote the poem\, “Let America Be America Again\,” which is the foundation for our new exhibit\, “Liberty\, Labor and Langston.”\n——-\n\nThe Liberty\, Labor and Langston\, exhibit opens online at www.carver4m.org on February 1\, 2025\, in celebration of Black History Month.  It is curated by Terry Miller.  It will open inside the museum from February 25 through the end of December. DESCRIPTION:To our Moms (and Dads)!! Come hang out\, grab a beer from our Brewery and food from Big Will’s BBQ. Sign your kiddo(s) up in advance for a fun kid friendly painting of a Flag! Ages 6 and up!!! Amanda with Simply Flamazing Art makes it easy with instruction and pre-traced canvasses.\nCost is $20 to paint a 9×12 canvas. All supplies are provided. You don’t have to sit with your kiddo\, but you must remain on premise the entire time.\nPaint a Flag starts at 11am and Face Painting at 1pm.
