SUMMARY:John Mercer Langston Hughes Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:The Carver 4-County Museum will be featuring a new exhibit honoring prolific writer\, John Mercer Langston Hughes\, born February 1\, 1901\, in Joplin\, Missouri. He passed away in New York on May 22\, 1967.\n\nIn 1936\, he wrote the poem\, “Let America Be America Again\,” which is the foundation for our new exhibit\, “Liberty\, Labor and Langston.”\n——-\n\nThe Liberty\, Labor and Langston\, exhibit opens online at www.carver4m.org on February 1\, 2025\, in celebration of Black History Month.  It is curated by Terry Miller.  It will open inside the museum from February 25 through the end of December. SUMMARY:Summer Camp with Bold Beginnings Equestrian LLC
DESCRIPTION:Essential school-readiness skills will be highlighted during horse care and horse riding activities. Over the course of four hours\, for three days\, students will practice grooming\, balance exercises on horseback\, and assist with age appropriate horse care while developing a sense of teamwork\, confidence\, time management\, responsibility\, and more. Additionally\, campers will participate in fun crafts and horse-themed games. Oh and also\, campers will have expanded lessons on horse care topics such as equine nutrition and measuring vital signs!
