SUMMARY:East Coast Scrap Circuit #1 - Armored Combat Event
DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to unveil the very first Scrap Circuit\, a new armored combat event building full-contact medieval fighting on the East Coast. Fighters from multiple teams\, gyms\, and organizations will step into the list with period-accurate medieval armor and real steel weapons to test themselves in the fast-paced\, unscripted\, brutal sport of Buhurt.\nThe Scrap Circuit is a monthly scrimmage event where anything can happen. With no rankings or titles on the line\, fighters push limits\, test new strategies\, and face fresh opponents\, making every bout unpredictable and intense. Whether you’re a longtime fan of combat sports or seeing Buhurt for the first time\, The Scrap delivers raw medieval mayhem you can feel from the sidelines.\nCost of entry is free\, but donations will be very gratefully accepted. The participating fighters might very well have some of their home teams’ merchandise to sell\, so make sure you get a look and support your local medieval combat organizations!

SUMMARY:Siegen Forest Bluebell Walks
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a walk through the Virginia Bluebells and other spring ephemerals on Saturday April 4\, 11\, and 18 at 10am with Virginia Master Naturalist John Bryan. Virginia Bluebells (Mertensia virginica) are native wildflowers that are ephemeral. They emerge in early spring and after blooming\, disappear without a trace until the following spring. Bluebells spread through rhizomes and self seeding\, and prefer moist shady habitats like forested floodplains along rivers and streams. They first emerge as purple foliage which turns to bright green as purple buds unfurl into the unmistakable blue flowers that carpet the forest for several weeks. \nWe will be searching for other signs of spring along the way\, covering approximately 3 miles. Meet at the Historic Germanna Visitor Center. Our walk along the Rapidan River is followed by a moderate climb to a rock outcropping that provides an excellent view of the Rapidan River and surrounding forest. From there\, participants will retrace their steps along the river. \nThese walks are free but registration is required as space is limited. Select your desired date below. \nApril 4: https://secure.everyaction.com/T5_oW4dr9UGR0rIxfSi-vA2\nApril 11: https://secure.everyaction.com/WpiutwabNUWYUp7BQO1PsQ2\nApril 18: https://secure.everyaction.com/THirHIYliUyofaVYZeowug2

SUMMARY:Adult & Kids Easter Egg Hunts at Mountain Run Winery
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW for Easter Fun with Mountain Run Winery!\nThe winery is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt event for all ages\, including adults! Egg hunts for kids are only $7 if you register in advance. The traditional adult hunt (21+ only) is only $16 and features adult-themed prizes in the eggs including gift certificates for the winery!\nBuilding on last year’s fun\, we have a second adult egg hunt that you’ll never forget! Everyone has heard of the Easter Bunny\, but have you heard of the Evil Bunny? This horribly mutated Easter Bunny is the star of our ‘Evil Bunny’ hunt. The prizes inside the eggs will be even more valuable than the normal adult hunt\, but the Evil Bunny will chase players around on the field and if he touches you with his hideous claws\, you have to give him one of your collected eggs. However\, if you find the lucky Golden Egg\, and can touch the Evil Bunny with it\, you’ll get ALL his collected eggs! \nIf spaces are available\, day-of registrations will be allowed at $10/kid and $20/adult.\nPayment is due at the time of registration through the registration link.\nThere will also be food available for purchase from Smok Shak and Travelin Tom’s\, live music by Craig Dodson 2-5pm\, bounce houses\, Sandy’s Face Painting\, and an onsite playground for all the littles to get out their Easter energy. Be sure to see if you can spot the Easter Bunny hopping around the hunt as well and feel free to get those great photos with the bunny when you do.\nThe winery is open all afternoon for hunt participants and non-participants alike. You DO NOT need a ticket to come to the winery for the day\, tickets are only required for the hunts\nHunt spaces are limited to 50 in each age group so be sure to register in advance to reserve your space!
