DESCRIPTION:The Carver 4-County Museum will be featuring a new exhibit honoring prolific writer\, John Mercer Langston Hughes\, born February 1\, 1901\, in Joplin\, Missouri. He passed away in New York on May 22\, 1967.\n\nIn 1936\, he wrote the poem\, “Let America Be America Again\,” which is the foundation for our new exhibit\, “Liberty\, Labor and Langston.”\n——-\n\nThe Liberty\, Labor and Langston\, exhibit opens online at www.carver4m.org on February 1\, 2025\, in celebration of Black History Month.  It is curated by Terry Miller.  It will open inside the museum from February 25 through the end of December. DESCRIPTION:Revalation Vineyards is pleased to exhibit Dr. Stephanie Mendlow’s work. Dr. Mendlow’s art radiates a deep passion for color\, light\, and nuance\, capturing the beauty of both rural Virginia and her own journey. Rooted in her Manhattan upbringing\, where skyscrapers\, museums\, and parks provided early inspiration\, art became her sanctuary amidst the bustling cityscape. After a successful career as a cardiologist in Culpeper\, Mendlow returned to her first love—painting—and began an exploration of how color and light evoke emotion. You can see her work at the Vineyard from now until the end of April.

SUMMARY:Adult and Kids Easter Egg Hunts at Mountain Run Winery
DESCRIPTION:Come and hang out with Mountain Run Winery for Easter fun!\nSAVE THE DATE FOR OUR POPULAR EGG HUNTS! Details will be finalized soon and tickets go on sale March 19th! And new this year\, we are adding a second session to the adult hunt!\n\nThe winery is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt event for all ages\, including adults! Egg hunts for kids are only $7 if you register in advance. The adult hunt (21+ only) is only $16 and features adult-themed prizes in the eggs including gift certificates for the winery! If spaces are available\, day-of registrations will be allowed at $10/kid and $20/adult.\nPayment is due at the time of registration through the registration link.\nThere will be food available for purchase from Zippy’s BBQ\, live music by Andrew Washington from 2-5pm\, barrel train rides running all afternoon ($3 cash to the train operator)\, a bounce house\, Sandy’s Face Painting\, and an onsite playground for all the littles to get out their Easter energy. Be sure to see if you can spot the Easter Bunny hopping around the hunt as well.\nThe winery is open all afternoon for participants and non-participants alike.\nHunt spaces are limited to 50 in each age group so be sure to register in advance to reserve your space!
