The Black Community’s Dedication to Education

February 11 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

$5.00
black and white images of school buildings

Join us on Tuesday, February 11 at 6:30 PM as the museum continues its lecture series!

The Museum is excited to once again collaborate with members of the African American Heritage Alliance. Panelists Angela Chapman, Charles Jamison, Jane Pollard, and Moderator Zann Nelson will address the commitment and activism required and delivered by the Black communities throughout the county to provide an education for Black children. Three locations will be discussed as examples: the Culpeper Training School on the old Fredericksburg Rd., the Norman School off US Route 522 West at Norman, and the George Washington Carver High School on US Route 15.

This program will be held at the museum. Space is limited so save your seat today and then pay at the door! Admission is $5 per person but Museum members get in FREE.

If you can’t attend the lecture, you can purchase access to the video recording for $5.
