The Southern Wing & The Sacred Ridge: A 163rd Anniversary Commemoration
When: Saturday, June 6, 2026 | 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Where: Kelly’s Ford, Stevensburg, and Hansbrough’s Ridge (Culpeper, VA)
Lunch Location: The Inn at Kelly’s Ford
Join Culpeper Battlefield Tours for an exclusive journey through the “Union’s Valley Forge.” To mark the 163rd Anniversary of the Battle of Brandy Station, we are offering a rare, first-ever public tour of Hansbrough’s Ridge.
Hidden beneath a forest canopy described as a “Cathedral in the Woods,” this restricted site contains the nation’s largest concentration of untouched Civil War encampment features. Attendees will walk original military roads and see perfectly preserved hut-sites and fire-pits exactly as they were left in 1864.
The day begins with a tactical exploration of the “Southern Wing” maneuvers at Kelly’s Ford and Stevensburg, followed by a keynote lecture from authoritative historian Clark “Bud” Hall at the historic Inn at Kelly’s Ford.
Tickets & Registration:
Early Bird: $195 (Before May 15)
Standard: $240 (After May 15)
Note: Capacity is strictly limited to 50 guests. This tour requires 2+ miles of hiking on uneven, wooded terrain.
