Jump Start Your Food Start Up Workshop
Jump Start Your Food Start Up will be held June 28th 10 AM – 2:30 PM at the Carver Center in Rapidan, VA. This training will give an overview of regulations for different types of food businesses and free and low-cost resources available to help businesses grow. Topics that we will touch on include local regulations, Good Manufacturing Processes, Food Safety Modernization Act, Food Safety at Farmers Markets, and resources available through Virginia Tech’s Food Producer Technical Assistance Network. Experts will be available to answer your specific questions about your specific business. We will also tour the George Washington Carver Food Enterprise Center. This is a great opportunity for those looking to start or expand their food truck, catering, farmers market, or other food manufacturing business. This training includes lunch and is free thanks to a generous grant from Amazon Web Services.
