Dirty Kitten Gravel Race
Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Locust Hill Farm encompasses over 5,000 continuous acres of privately-owned land. Only 90 miles from the center of Washington, D.C., the farm is surrounded by untouched, historic land and borders Cedar Mountain (a.k.a. Slaughter’s Mountain) where a historic Civil War battle took place in 1862.
This race will explore Locust Hill Farm and Preserve on privately-owned gravel farm roads that run along the Robinson River, pass serene creeks and ponds, weave through open fields, and cross wooded forest trails. The area is truly a gravel enthusiast’s dream as well as a beautiful wildlife haven.
The “Dirty Kitten” is co-hosted by Vanderkitten-Entourage Racing and local equestrian group, Bull Run Hunt. This is its inaugural year as an official gravel race (last year was a non-competitive gravel grinder). Your entry fee includes an amazing gravel experience, ride support, post-ride food and beverages, commemorative event swag, and payout/merchandise prizes for the top 3-5 finishers in each category/field provided by our kickass sponsors
