February 11-12 Events
February 11 and 12 includes chocolate fondue by the fire at Old House Vineyards (noon to 5 p.m.). It’s a delicious treat and Old House will have a perfect wine to pair with your pot. The following weekend will be a cheese fondue by the fire. Choose your poison.
February 10 and 11 are special nights at Poplar Springs Inn in Warrenton. A pre-fixe manor house Valentine’s Dinner will be offered each night. Wine pairing may be added on and reservations are strongly encouraged. If you care to stay the night, an all-inclusive package is available. It includes one dozen roses, a bottle of champagne, the dinner and wine pairing, and a couples’ massage.
Narmada Winery invites you to a Romantic Winemakers Dinner on February 11 at 6:30 p.m. The four-course delight will include paired Narmada wines.
Just down the road in Leon, Prince Michel Vineyards is also hosting a Winemakers Dinner on Saturday, February 11 at 6 p.m. Enjoy a meet-and-greet with appetizers prior to the four-course, wine-paired dinner.
Looking for a brand new wine? DuCard Vineyards in Etlan is releasing their new rosé from 2 to 5 p.m. on February 11. On February 12, a Valentine’s Sunday Wine Brunch will be held at 11:30 a.m. and includes wine paired with the four courses. Advance reservations are required.
Jazz and Soul ring from the tasting room at Gadino Cellars in Washington on February 11 from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Their wines and Birnn chocolates will be offered for your mid-winter visit.
February 11 and 12 is Gray Ghost Vineyards’ Irresistible Chocolates and Cabernet weekend. Located in Amissville, Gray Ghost is a nice drive from your stay in Culpeper. This annual event offers flights of award-winning reds and whites, as well as a chocolate dessert buffet and a commemorative glass.

Following the Valentine’s Day holiday is a Wine, Hors d’oeuvres and Dessert Pairing Party at Morais Vineyards and Winery in Bealton. From 2 to 3 p.m., attendees will enjoy a pairing of six wines with delectable treats. Take home a souvenir glass, but don’t forget to take a selfie of you and your favorite loved one.

Studio C Photography in Culpeper is seeking volunteers for Monday, February 13, who will sit for portraits. The culmination will be a “Window to the Soul” project. In it for you is a free 8x10 copy of the captured image. Bring some emotion for your sitting. The more sultry or mischievous the better. Appointments are required.
