Culpeper Competes Application

Culpeper Competes is designed to encourage and develop an entrepreneurial spirit through business development education, mentorship, and technical assistance to guide participants through the process of launching or growing their business.

The program is presented in partnership with the Central Virginia Small Business Development Center (CVSBDC).

Culpeper Competes may award business investment grants to eligible start-up and existing businesses seeking to locate, expand, and create jobs within the Town of Culpeper, Virginia. Grant awards may be divided among multiple winners.

Important Program Requirements

Please read carefully before applying.

• All Business Essentials Training sessions will be held in person.
• Attendance is required to participate in the pitch competition.
• Applicants must complete the required SBDC intake and interview process before beginning the program.
• Applicants must meet all program eligibility requirements.
• Accepted participants may be required to sign a Participant Code of Conduct before participating.
• Award recipients must operate their new or expanding business within the Town of Culpeper.
• Award recipients must meet grant requirements before receiving funds.
