8/1 – 8/31 VA Craft Beer Month – August is Virginia Craft Beer Month. Celebrate at one of the unique breweries throughout Culpeper or at one of the local restaurants that offer a variety of local craft beers.
8/1 – 8/7 Be A Culpeper Local Week – Shop Small & Save More! – This event coincided with Virginia’s Tax-Free Weekend. The week will celebrate Culpeper businesses with a number of businesses offering promotions and specials. If you shop small you can save even more!
8/5 Culpeper’s 1st Friday at the Depot – This FREE community event will have live music from 4pm – 9pm, face painting and artist demos.
8/5 – 8/7 VA Tax Free Weekend – Take advantage of Virginia’s annual tax free weekend before the kids go back to school. Shop local in Culpeper, VA and save more!
8/6 – 8/7 160th Anniversary & Living History Event at Cedar Mountain Battlefield – At this year’s event there will be two battle reenactments in addition to living history opportunities such as soldiers’ encampments, civilian wartime experiences, children’s activities and hands on history tent, guided tours, and more.
8/6 Culinary Herb Wreath Making at Seek Lavender Farm – Registration, per person, includes outdoor time with Seek Lavender’s owner & operator, Mary Seek, in Culpeper’s peaceful oasis crafting your own 8″ culinary herb wreath.
8/6 SummerFest 2022 at Far Gohn Brewing Company – Far Gohn hosts SummerFest 2022. Live music, psychic readings, cigars on site & more.
8/10 – 8/13 Brandy Station Fire Department Fair, Parade, Lawn & Garden Tractor Pull – Live Music each evening, rides & food, annual parade and tractor pull. Cash Prizes and other prizes given away on Saturday evening.
8/13 3rd Annual Capitol Wings Bikes, Wings & Wheels Show – Catch the Chef Culpeper & EAA Chapter 186 Food Trucks, Live Music, Static Aircraft Displays, WW11 Reenactors, Hepcat Honey Pin-Up Models, Warbird Rides Available and much more. Also, the Flying Ace Distillery & Brewery will be debuting their Doris Mae IPA.
8/13 Capital Airwing Airshow – Enjoy a fantastic day event with airplane rides and military history displays/reenactors from WWI and beyond.
8/14 2022 Devil’s Den 10 Miler – The Devil’s Den 10 Miler is one of the best 10 mile races in Virginia! The DD10 is set in beautiful Culpeper, centrally located between Washington, DC, and Charlottesville nestled in the Piedmont River Valley.
8/14 Drag Brunch at the Pier – Join the Culpeper Queens on August 14th for our first annual Drag Brunch at The Pier! Serving brunch from 10am-3pm. Show starts at 11am-1pm.
8/18 The Worx – 3rd Thursday Concert Series at the Depot – The final 3rd Thursday concert of the summer on August 18, 2022 will be at the Culpeper Train Depot, with The WORX an award-winning group, performing modern and classic rock-n-roll covers as well as original material.
8/20 Staghorn Mounting Workshop – Staghorn ferns grow on the sides of trees in the wild – in this workshop you can bring some of that magic into your home. MacKenzie will guide you through mounting a 4″ staghorn and how to take care of your piece of living artwork.
