Long known as the love month, February ushers in a hot spot in the throes of winter. If it’s high time you enjoy a little one-on-one time with your special someone, we have enticing options.

Valentine’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year, which means you can spread the love for a full week. Choose the weekend before or after, or February 14 itself to add a special oomph to the love you show every day.

THE DATE NIGHT

Typically closed Mondays and Tuesdays, Foti’s in downtown Culpeper welcomes you to join them for a special Valentine’s Day Tuesday opening. Both lunch and dinner will be served. Reservations are recommended for dinner.

Delayed in celebrating? That’s okay! Catch the 1980s romantic comedy, When Harry Met Sally, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 16. Enjoy a dinner downtown before heading to The Packard Campus of the National Audio-Visual Conservation Center.

THE WEEKEND GETAWAY

Choose to bookend your Valentine’s Day with a weekend getaway.

The package includes your stay at The Inn at Meander Plantation in Locust Dale. You’ll be treated with all kinds of Virginia wine – a gift basket, vouchers for tastings, and a bottle upon arrival. A farm-fresh breakfast, picnic, and chef dinner basket ensure that most of your meals are included with your stay.
